Caddo District PTA

ACT Practice Tests & Workshops

Dear PTA Member,

My name is John Burford. I graduated from Caddo Magnet High School in 2008 and am about to finish my sophomore year at Princeton University.

Early this summer, I'm holding two free practice ACT tests and two free ACT workshops, one of each at Caddo Magnet and C.E. Byrd, to give students an opportunity to get some extra practice and a few tips before the real ACT on June 12. Students who take the practice ACT will receive their scores within 72 hours by Facebook or by e-mail (their choice).

For the free workshops, I'll be giving back the tests so students can see which questions they missed, going over some of the most commonly missed questions, sharing a few tips for each section of the ACT that helped me get a 35 on the ACT, and answering questions. I'll also be writing a few paragraphs of individualized feedback for each student as I grade their test so that they can get an exact idea of where they need to focus on. I'll be handing these sheets out at the workshop along with the graded tests. However, a student does not have to go to the free practice ACT to come to the free workshop.

If you're interested, here is the information for the four events.
