PTA DUES INCREASE:
A dues increase was passed at the National PTA Convention in June. PTA Membership Cards will now cost $3.25 from $2.75. This is the first dues increase in several years. Please plan for the increase when placing your orders for Membership Cards. Click here for More Information
JUMP START ON REFLECTIONS & SAFETY:
Are your children a little bored this summer? Have them get a Jump Start on PTA Program Competitions for the upcoming 2011-2012 School Year. The following are the new themes:
- Safety Theme: At Work, At Play, Let Safety Lead The Way
- Reflections Theme: Diversity Means . . .
NATIONAL WINNERS FOR PTA REFLECTIONS!!: Congratulations to the following winners in the PTA Reflections program. Out of thousands of students across the nation the entries from these Caddo District students were selected.
- Caroline Manning (Caddo Middle Magnet) - Visual Arts Award of Excellence
- Hadlee Hoffman (Arthur Circle Elementary) - Visual Arts Award of Merit
- Allison Case (Youree Drive AP Middle Magnet) - Music Composition Award of Excellence
Again, many congratulations to these three Caddo District students and to all the students who submitted entries this year. A virtual PTA Reflections gallery will be live later this year on the National PTA Website.

The mission of the PTA is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
