We have asked some of them to write an article for the newsletter so you can view the information that was shared with us at the meetings. I would like to give a special thanks to Keith Burton for bringing us such wonderful speakers.</p> <p>We are working on The Louisiana PTA State Convention at the state level and they are hoping to have all of the information up on the Louisiana PTA website soon. As soon as they place it on the website I will also be placing it on the Caddo District PTA website for you to print on and send it in.</p> <p>This year Caddo District PTA is in charge of the decorations for the Children's Luncheon. The theme is a western theme and we would like to hear your ideas about decorating tables and maybe having a backdrop where the students can have their pictures taken after the luncheon. We will have to decorate 45 to 50 tables and we are hoping to be able to decorate on Friday night so we will have plenty of time to decorate them in the way we would like to have them look. Louisiana PTA allows us $100.00 for the decorations so we will be asking the Board of Directors from Caddo to help share this cost of decorating for this event.</p> <p>I hope that all of you are busy preparing your entries for the Safety Awards Program which will be due at the January 10, 2011 general meeting. Amy and Kim will be there to receive all of your entries and they will be judged by the Caddo Sheriff s office again this year. Angie Wilson who is on the Caddo District Board of Managers works at Safety Town and has them judged there. Please fill out all of the appropriate paper work and everything to them.</p> <p>A lot of entries are due to the appropriate state chairs. In this newsletter you will find the information about where to send all of the entries that Local Units may submit from their schools to become a state winner. Remember that we have a new 3rd Vice President at the state level and you can find her information in this newsletter.</p> <p>Remember that on February 23, 2012, we will be celebrating the founding of PTA and we hope all of you will join us for this wonderful event. Come and honor all of your school volunteers with Life Service Awards and Memberscrolls in their honor. All the monies go toward Caddo Student Scholarships except for the original cost of the awards.
