President’s Message The annual Caddo District Awards Ceremony was held on May 4, 2010, in the Lel McCullough Auditorium of Caddo Middle Magnet. Listed in this newsletter are the winners of Educator of Distinction, Caddo District PTA Scholarships, Outstanding Newsletter and Website Awards, and Honor and Outstanding Units that were presented at this special meeting. Membership Awards for local PTA units who reached membership totals of 500 members or more and 100% membership were also presented awards. There were some special awards in membership which were also presented. The best part of the program was watching all the winning children receiving their trophies for the Reflections and Safety Drawing programs.
I hope that all the delegates who attended the Louisiana PTA State Convention have some memorable experiences and enjoyed meeting PTA Friends from across the state of Louisiana.
The Caddo District PTA Summer In-Service is scheduled for August 7, 2010, in the Caddo Parish School Board Room. Registration is from 8:00 thru 8:45 AM. The information and registration form can be found in this newsletter.
This will be the last newsletter sent out until September. We hope you have enjoyed this informative way of communicating with local unit PTA Presidents and Principals, as we strive to bring information of interest to keep you informed as well as the information you need to run your PTA smoothly. If for any reason you need assistance or need questions answered, please don’t hesitate to contact a Caddo District Board member, who will assist you or will know someone they think will be able to assist you.
